My parents were both hardworking public school teachers. When I was 11 years old, I watched my dad die of heart disease from preventable causes. Today, as a public health expert and advocate, I fight for everyone’s ability to live a long, healthy, and happy life.
We’ve seen the homelessness crisis spiral horribly out of control in Sacramento, as politicians cater to their corporate donors. I’m running for mayor to create a city where all of us can thrive, not just those at the top.
